Printer Pulls Two Sheets: Double Feed Checks

Double feeding usually calls for a paper and tray check before any part purchase. Count the sheets and note whether it happens from one tray or every source.

Check the paper stack

Remove mixed sizes, curled or damp sheets. Use the maker's recommended paper weight and keep the stack below the fill mark. Align side guides without squeezing the paper.

Isolate the tray

Try a small stack of plain Letter paper from the supported main tray. If a second tray or manual feed works correctly, the issue is localized. A repeat only with one specialty media type may mean that media is unsuitable.

Persistent double feed

Use the exact model's official roller-cleaning or separation-pad guidance. Stop if access requires disassembly. A generic replacement roller listing is not evidence that a particular part fits your printer.
