A printhead error is model-specific and may call for a documented check or service. It does not automatically mean a replacement printhead can be purchased and installed by the owner.
Read the complete error
Note the exact code, model and whether it appeared during setup, printing or a cleaning cycle. An ink system, cartridge or printhead message can have different meanings on different printers.
Try only owner procedures
Check the manufacturer's official troubleshooting page. A nozzle check or accessible cartridge reseat may be appropriate for some models, but repeated deep cleaning can use substantial ink and a printhead may be service-only.
When to stop
Do not buy a generic printhead from a search result or force a sealed part. If the maker calls for service, preserve warranty information and contact the official support channel.
