Android Printer Not Found: Mopria and Network Checks

If Android cannot find a printer, confirm that the model supports the selected print service and that phone and printer are on a network that allows local discovery.

Check the service

Open Android's Printing settings and identify the active default or Mopria service. A wireless printer is not automatically Mopria certified. Use the maker's app only when the exact model requires it.

Check local access

Connect the phone and printer to the same trusted LAN, then open a print-capable app and choose Print. A guest Wi-Fi network can isolate devices. Wi-Fi Direct is a separate mode and may change the phone's normal connection.

When the device appears but fails

Try a small document, inspect the printer display and check paper and queue status. Do not install unknown APKs or grant unnecessary network permissions to a “printer fixer.”
