Use a TCP/IP address only after confirming that the printer itself has a network address and Windows discovery did not add the correct device.

Find the printer's address
Read the printer's network status report or its control panel. A Windows host name for a USB-shared printer is a different path. Keep the device IP private.

Add it in Windows
- Open Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners → Add device.
- Let discovery run first.
- Choose the manual add option for a TCP/IP address or hostname.
- Enter the address from the printer's own report and select the exact model driver.
- Print a Windows test page and then test from the original app.
If it later stops working
Compare the printer's current address with the port configured in Windows. A DHCP address can change; an administrator may use a router reservation rather than an arbitrary static address.
