If a printer vanishes after an update, first check whether the device still works locally and whether Windows has created a second queue. Keep the exact model and connection type in view before removing drivers.
Check the physical route
Print a printer-generated status page. For USB, try the same known-good cable and port. For Wi-Fi or Ethernet, read the current network report. An update coinciding with a router change does not make the Windows driver the cause.
Look in Windows
Open Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners. Search for the full model, including a possible duplicate queue, and use Add device if it is absent. Try a Windows test page from the correct queue.
Reinstall only if needed
If Windows recognizes the printer but the driver fails, use the exact model's official support page and the current Windows architecture. On an ARM PC, try Microsoft's built-in add-printer route if a manufacturer installer cannot run.
