What to try, in order
- Check router, cable and power; remove Ethernet when selecting Wi-Fi.
After each step, repeat the action that produced the message. If it clears, you can stop.
Read the network report in context
On the ET-3850, open Settings → General Settings → Network Settings → Connection Check, then print the check report. Match the complete E-number on that report, not a similar front-panel code. Keep the printed SSID, IP address and device identifiers private. After changing the indicated setting, run the report again and then test from the computer.
When to stop
Stop if the instructed check does not apply, access requires disassembly, or the error persists after the documented steps.
- Do not confuse E-1 network-report output with an E1 display code on a different printer.
Do not buy a part from the code alone. Check the exact model and manufacturer's part list if a replacement is actually required.
