A printer Windows 11 does not recognize needs a connection check before a driver change. USB and network devices fail for different reasons, so identify the route first.
If connected by USB
Check power, the printer display and the cable at both ends. Try another working USB port or known-good cable. If the printer itself cannot print a built-in page, Windows is not the first problem to solve.
If connected to a network
Print the printer's network report. Confirm it joined the intended LAN and that a guest network is not isolating devices. Then try Add device in Windows. A changed IP address can leave a saved queue pointing to the wrong destination.
Driver decision
Once the connection is confirmed, let Windows find a driver or open the manufacturer's exact-model US support page. Check Windows architecture; an x64 installer is not automatically suitable for ARM.
